Needs More Bike BuildingDec 21, 2004
By J. Lovely I bought this game as most probably have because they love the show. So I get home pop it in the PS2 and this is when I realize you can not build a bike anytime you want. I like the idea for missions in the game but I also want to be able to design bikes at any time. Instead I have beat a bunch of missions to build two total bikes so far in the game. Maybe something happens after you beat the game, but Im at 92% complete and cannot figure out how to unlock the extra missions yet. Not to mention some missions are difficult and irritating. The missons are either long, or you have to drive perfect for like 8 minutes. The thing I hate the most is the traffic that stops or angles out a front end for no reason and you fall off the bike. If I wanted an racing game that enrages me I would have bought one, I want a bike building game. I would recommend renting before buying to see how you like the game.

good, but could be betterDec 26, 2004
By chopperfan36 This game is great if you love the show. The game is overall great but there our some flas. Like you have to beat missions to start building bikes and you can only use the analog stick to move, but the worst thing of all is when you wreck the camra angle gets all odd and you watch yourself fall. Overall the game is great and if you love the show you will love the game

American Chopper Video GameJan 02, 2005
By Chris Covais First.
If you never seen this show, watch it first before you buy this game. Basically the only cool thing about this game is seeing Paul Sr. and Paul Jr. in a video game and riding the bikes you've seen them built in the shows. Other than that, some of the missions are stupid and unlike anything I've seen in the show. Some of the missions are good, but them stupid ones like you have no idea what to do come and to go any further in the game after beating all the other missions in that chapter, you must beat that mission. It might be fun to do the missions for somebody who has never seen the show, but for an avad American Chopper fan, this is fun to play.
And there is not enough other characters that are in the show, that are in the game. Where's Mikey, Vance, Cody, Rick, and who the heck is Hex? He wasn't in the show. And they could have done a better job making the OCC shop looking like the real thing. And some of the cool bikes are not in the game.
And while making your custom bike, you only get to choose from two parts for each of the different catoegories. And why is Senior so mean to the character you play? He's not always mean, and when he is, he's not nasty, and oh boy is Senior, in the video game, nasty. The bikes are a little bit, un-manuverable. BUt overall, this was a nice game. How good can it actually be.

wife and teen daughter liked itJan 08, 2005
By Country Mama 1 player game that my wife & teen daughter have played more than any of our other PS2 games.
I thought it was too much motorocycle driving and not enought motorocycle building. You have to complete missions/chapters to be able to work on building your bike, part by part.
I was disappointed to see it was made by Russian programmers. Come on, the name is AMERICAN choppers.

American Choppers Love 'em or Leave 'emApr 07, 2005
By terribleatom If you're a fan of the show, you'll like the game. The only big things I didn't like, it didn't have a side view button so you could check it out from the side and my remote control would let me assign the buttons I prefer for the gas and brake. It should have had more bikes to build and it was kind of shallow. I'm a big fan of the show so it was well worth the money I paid for the game. terribleatom
