Wipeout, the best of antigravity racingNov 24, 1999
Well, this game is simply the best futuristic, anti-gravity racing game yet! With lightning fast animation, jaw-dropping ships and weapons, and the challenge for almost any age group. Easy to learn, in about a half hour. Great music, hidden secrets, and explosive 4 player action! The only cons are: bad popups in distance, and lack of movies (N64 limitation).

Requires The Three S's: Speed, Skill, StrategyNov 18, 1999
"Flying" anti-gravity race cars to the beat of a wild techno sountrack is an experience best enjoyed on a big-screen hi-fi video system. Great 3-D graphics and choice of vehicles, courses and game modes make it and endless dream of futuristic fun and mayhem. Completing challenge sets opens access to new technology, making the action even wilder.Epilleptics and people prone to motion sickness should stay away.

Got the need for speed?Nov 14, 2002

"Radaar"
This is one of the best racing games for the Nintendo 64 system. The premise of anti-gravity cars in futuristic worlds with techno music blaring in the background is astounding. The cars are very cool, especially the secret Pirahna II. The speeds that you reach are upwards of 200 mph, and the backgrounds are eerily beautiful. You can also destroy other cars, and get them out of the race with weapons, such as missiles, earthquake inducers, and mines. To defend yourself, your onboard computer alerts you of other cars with weapons, and you can pick up supplemental shields. If you love racing and space-age graphics, this is the game for you.

Go Fast. WipE out.Oct 18, 2002
I had seen the first installment for WipEout at a friends house on the PC. It had great graphics in comparison to games that tried to mimic the futuristic feel. (see MegaRace)So I got WipEout 64, and am I glad! 64 games such as F-Zero feel like they have car-like control, while this feels like a true anti-gravity racing game. It really does feel like you're flying. WipEout 64 was derived from PC/PSOne games WipEout XL and WipEout 2097. If you love speed, this is the place to go. -Buy it. WipEout!

That's fast!Jul 17, 2002
By Drew (Marty) How can you not love Wipeout? This game blew my mind. I was skeptical first getting it, due to the fact that I had the previous Wipeout games on PlayStation, but that left quickly as I saw the N64 at work. While not quite as good looking as on the PS (But enough of the PS comparisons...), it sure was a hell of a lot of fun. Graphics are very impressive, especially when flying through the tunnels on Dyroness. And did I mention speed?... I DARE you to try going full blast on Phantom... This game is best experienced with the lights turned down and volume at full blast. The only gripe I have is that it gets a little too easy once you get the...well, will let you find out for yourself (Getting "It" is a challenge worth the rewards.) A lot of fun, and definitely worth the buy.
