5A Game Worth Checking OutJun 11, 2009
By Danatha Byrd "Skywater55"
My son and daughter just had to have this game after seeing the movie. The game uses the same voices as the movie and you get to play the russell, carl, the dog and the bird kevin. My children where laughing and having a great time playing the game while completing the challenges, collecting of artifacts. My son really liked the flying part, the achievements for completed sections brought smiles to the family. A game any child should enjoy, and if you have not seen the movie its great as well.

5A Wonderful Childrens GameJun 09, 2009
By J. S Thomas "Jethro"
I bought this game for my 7 year old as he really enjoyed the movie. I must say this is the first childrens game that i bought for the xbox that was really made for children and was not too hard and not too easy.

You get to experience all of the main characters from the movie: Russell (boy), Carl (older man), Dug (dog) Kevin (bird). I found both single player and multiplayer a challenge and exciting for both me and my son.

We encountered jungle terrain, fought different creatures (aligators, bats, bugs, dogs, etc) and walked the slopes on our way to the falls. There is also a level that allows up to four players to fight it out in aerial combat which is very fun and challenging and had our entire family laughing it up. Also upon gathering enough points through the levels allows a player to unlock 11 mini quests.

What may appear as a very short game for those that just play through miss out on the mini quests which are very fun to complete. I highly recommend this game to anyone with younger children or just a gamer enthusiast that want to have some good clean gaming fun.

55 Year old loves itSep 10, 2010

I ordered this for my 5 year old sister, who's always been curious of what XBOX games are about. She can handle getting around, but doesnt quite get the idea of the game or the goals of the levels. Nice simple maps and simple "enemies" make it perfect though for anyone as long as they're old enough to understand how to use the controller.

4Good clean fun with a little "brainwork" as well.Dec 31, 2009

I bought this game without having any high expectations for it, and we have been pleasantly surprised. For kids, this is good family fare and it's easy enough for even newer gamers to play (think play dates here, where sometimes the guest-child hasn't played but wants to try). True, it won't take 6 months to get through the whole thing, but there is a lot of value I think in having some games that are challenging yet relaxing and fun as well.

I like the fact that the kids have to "think" as they go through the screens, since there are various puzzles and projects that have to be completed so they can advance. You could blow through the game by doing just the minimum required, but my kids enjoyed really exploring the areas to make sure they hadn't missed anything before they completed the level.

NOTE: the very first level screen is an aerial dogfight where you have to shoot down 4 enemy planes to advance. The controls are "flight-simulator-style" (toggle up on the controller moves the plane down, etc.) and my kids had difficulty mastering the movement required to get the plane flying right so they could shoot down the enemies. They were starting to get a little frustrated so they called in a more experienced pilot (DAD!) to finish that one screen so they could go on. Once they moved onto the next screen they were off!

5Perfect for parent+child play!Mar 30, 2010
By Mary G. Einfeldt "Maryposa"
I bought this game to play with my 4-year old, and it is a perfect first game for kids. The game play is not too difficult, and the multi-player mode makes it so that we can work together through the whole game. We recently bought a few other games, and all she wanted to do was play the mini games, since this was the only way more than one person could play. During the story mode of the other games she would just get frustrated and have me do the tricky parts for her.
