BATTLETANX is a wild tank-based shoot-'em-up for Game Boy Color. This one-player top-down shooter takes place in a post-apocalyptic world, where humanity is on the verge of extinction thanks to a virus that eliminated most of the female population. Huge gangs now rule the world with force and intolerance. Play as a lone soldier who sets out to save the world from these marauding misfits. Throughout the game you'll use three different tanks, each with its own capabilities. Collect power-ups to get even more bang for your buck. BATTLETANX has 15 levels based in five different American cities: Washington, San Francisco, Las Vegas, New York, and Los Angeles. Each of the locales is represented with a beautiful palette of colors that depict the explosive action in bright, vibrant tones. Save your progress through the missions with a password save function.

DON'T GET IT!Jul 28, 2000
I know I gave this one star but still it's not the worst but anyway it's so hard to find your way around unless you learn how to use the map and you hardly have any wepons to begin with and the bad guys have pervect speed, wepons, and armor. So DON'T BUY THIS GAME!
Why did they waste their time and make this game?Jun 16, 2003
By Brian Malik Ok. I was very gullible when I was 9 years old... This game is the WORST game I have ever played. Yeah, when you first get it, you seem all excited about tanks and guns, but it only has 3 tanks! Maps aren't that great either. Keep your [money] and go buy a few rubber-duckies, because at least those are more fun that this!

1% of the exitement of real tanksJan 29, 2001
I'd reccomend this game only to a young gamer who really likes tanks. There are only 3 tanks to choose from, and only 2 weopon powerÂups which aren't any good anyway. There are only about 4 different type of enemy which are easy to kill, and no end of stage bosses, Poor music and sound FX, and a unimaginative story line make this game look like it was thrown together over the weekend. Had potential.

This game is awesome. It takes a while to get down the wierd steering bot after that it's fun. It's story line is kinda boring but thats what youd expect from gameboy.I gave it three stars because it took only a few hours to beat. Another good thing about it is that you can play individual stages after u beat the game. The real downfall of the game is that you can't save. After every level you get a stupid password that uses pictures of tanks instead of numbers or letters. I reccomend this game to everyone. It has it's bad sides but it's really cool
