this game was fun,but it could have taken some notes from previous cabela games.
I like the hunting, but then again..I like the camping out in the tent, that made it fun.
Could have been alittle better like previous Cabela's games.

Very disappointedJan 17, 2009
By Angela McClelland I love Cabela's games. I've owned 3 Playstation 2 games (including this title) and 1 PSP game.
But this one was a really big disappointment.
The only good things are as follows:
-the graphics look much better -the load times are very short
However, the real reason why the load times are very short are because all the levels (at least the ones I have played) are timed. The only playing option in this game is Career hunt. And while I don't mind career hunting, you don't get a chance to enjoy the experience or track an animal. For example, the very first level you have to down a buck in under 2 minutes. A large group of deer is standing right across a body of water directly in front of you. Even if you wanted to track and bag the best one there, you don't have time to do so.
There is no Quick Hunt option and no way to go back and replay previous levels. No way to really sit back and enjoy a hunt that involves tracking and bagging the best animal.
I'll be trading this one in.

Not as good as the others...Jan 07, 2008
By Angela Streiff I bought this game for my husband for Christmas because it had hunting ducks as one of the animals you could hunt (which he enjoys doing in real life). It was backordered for a few weeks so I also ordered Cabela's African Safari.
The Cabela's African Safari came and he had a blast with that one! Awesome graphics and the hunting was a lot of fun. It even suprisingly had duck hunting it it as well. He and I both were not expecting this at all from the Cabela's African Safari game. It was just suposed to be a temp game till the "fun one" came. Boy were we wrong! Cabela's North American Trophy Bucks was a real let down, in all aspects of the game not just the duck hunting. You just don't seem to have as much free movement to hunt in this version. Graphics in North American Trophy Bucks were not even close to that of the Cabela's African Safari game. I would say save your money on this one and get the Cabela's African Safari and have a ton more fun!

I was very pleased with the game I recieved and also with the timely manner in which I recieved it. I will order from Amazon and Bret's cards again. I do beleive that the site should show where the order is coming from.
