Welcome To Modern Warfare!!!Jun 17, 2010 I origioanlly wanted to get Modern Warfare 2 for obvious reasons, but I didn't want to cough up thirty or fourty bucks for that, when Call Of Duty Black Ops is so close to release. So I decided to buy this and save up, and im glad I did!!! Call Of Duty 4 Modrn Warfare is nothing short of an amazing game. The graphics blow me away everytime, and the gameplay is awsome! The story is pretty common, theres a bad guy who's a threat to your country and you have to kill him. Nothing to fancy. Now all that is fine, but the true superstar of the game is its online multiplayer. Theres a TON to do online, and it is able to find a game for you very quickly. I was impressed at the number of players who STILL play this game, along with me who just got it. That alone says something. So why spend extra on Modern Warfare 2? I say start small and buy this game, so that when Black Ops comes out, you'll be ready to go. 5/5.
A New ParadigmMay 04, 2010 The breadth of awesome that this game delivers is astounding, so lets take it one step at a time. The guns are satisfying to shoot, look fantastic (you can read serial numbers and discern scratches and dings), and are even fun to watch reload. The controls are pretty standard FPS, but overall movement is generally remarkably smooth (though you will at times curse the heavens after you couldn't go prone to avoid enemy fire because you were a bit too close to a wall). The graphics are immersive. The maps look beautiful and promote some great gunfights, but do tend to have a few places that are a bit too powerful (one way in, one way out, great visibility, plenty of cover, and enough room to avoid incoming grenades. A mini-fridge is about the only other thing you could ask for.) The perk system makes multiplayer addictive, as you try to find the perfect combination of perks to maximize the lethality of your play-style. In fact, it was only after being on multiplayer intravenously for a couple weeks before I finally found some time to realize that the campaign is just as good.
The reasons this game will rock your world are to plentiful to list in full, leaving every criticism to fall firmly within the category of nit-pickery. Play this game.
ExcellentFeb 23, 2010 The graphic in this game are awesome. I have been playing for months now and I never get bored with it. I have completed the game in single player mode 2 different times on different levels. I recommend that after purchasing the game you join the online community. The online game play is where you get your moneys worth. Trying to out perform the other people playing online and work with your teammates can be challenging. Every time I log in it is something new. I enjoy this game and I know you will too.

Nice, not greatFeb 05, 2010 Yes, this game is definately worth $14 (including shipping) that i paid for it. i would not pay 50 or even 30 bucks for this game. graphics are great and overall it's fun to play this game, but i am not an online player.. i prefer old-fashioned gaming (that's why i'm not going to buy MAG - although it looks like THAT game would 've impressed me more)
Good projectFeb 05, 2010 I purchased this used this year. I never get anything new so this is obviously moot.
Great introduction to modern war and weaponry use. This is like the earlier SOCOMs but gives you more fire fights. Logical controls for PS3, good graphics, but no rumble effect that was the trademark of PS3. The story line is confusing but doesn't matter because the missions can stand alone.
