5Coaster Works, works.May 20, 2001
By Rick Brown
This game is great! It allows for practically anything, any twist, turn, gallop, anything! In truth, I bought this game to try and find a replacement for Disney's Coaster, that came out quite some time ago...and it almost impossible to find now. So far, its measured up quite well. The graphics and great, and the game play is extremely user friendly. The tutorial teaches our everything and after you've mastered all 5 stages, you get a sixth stage which lets you build anything, in anyway you want. Its amazing! Its the best Coaster game on the market right now, and it well worth 30 bucks!

5Dreamcast Has A New Hit!Apr 20, 2001

All you other coaster games move over, this is a new era of in your face coaster action. Have fun trying to build the most horrifying drops, the biggest loops, and then when youre done trade them on-line with youre friends. This game is truely excellent.

3Good but not worth the money for it :(Jul 24, 2001
By Melody Ann "melodyann"
I was thinking maybe this would kind of rival the computer simulation coaster game. Roller Coaster Tycoon, but no it does not. I figured well it still builds coasters so this could be interesting. It is a little confusing at first but you get the hang of it fast but it just isnt worth the money. This is one of those games where you should just rent and play becuase it aint worth it to own. I love Sega and all their systems, I own them all and I love them all, but this game isnt worth the money. Sorry Sega!

5Coasters RULE!!Mar 20, 2002

You heard me I looooovvvveeee Roller Coasters. Here is a tip if u love Coasters like me get the game! If u think coasters are ok rent it. If u HATE(gasp) Coasters then stay away from this game. You can tell I have been on roller coasters and I have Roller Coaster Tycoon so I'm a Roller Coaster Freak! For those who don't like roller coasters try to rent it, for the rest of u GET THE GAME!!!

3Amazing but briefJul 22, 2001
By Anthony Hughes
Simply put, Coaster Works is a fun and amazing game that is over far too quickly. I was able to complete this game in about 5 hours - that's just too fast. Now that it's complete, I'm not sure what more I can do with it. I could perhaps continue building coasters just to see how Thrilling a coaster I could create, but the game provides no way to name or compare coasters. It would also be nice if I could somehow extend the 240 segment limit or increase the maximum coaster height - some truly unique and incredible coasters could be built. Another nicety would be more interesting or editable terrain rather than just a large, flat rectangles.Ultimately, I think this game is really neat, but has fallen far short of its potential. Perhaps a Coaster Works 2 could be created to address some of this game's shortcomings.
