If you're into freestyle stunt games that are similar to the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater series (a necessary comparison), you might find, with a little patience, that Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX is a surprisingly good one. It doesn't offer much more than the established fly-and-trick formula, but it's still a fun ride.
In general, this game calls for quicker thumbs and more precision than other games in the genre, but it also provides a greater sense of accomplishment to those who get up to speed. The animation of your rider's backflips, grinds, and other aerial maneuvers looks startlingly realistic; and, with 1,300 tricks available, chances are that you'll always find a new way to fall off your bike. Most levels are huge and designed so that you can pull off many stunts per track. In fact, you must complete some of the harder stunts to win sponsors for new gear. For all of you kids who are into aggro music, Dave's game features popular four-chord acts Social Distortion, Rancid, and the Deftones, as well as rap group Cypress Hill.
On the downside, the game's visuals just don't look tremendously better than the PlayStation version. Although they're nicely rendered and decently animated, none of it screams, "128-bit pixel-pushing processing power!"
While it won't stun anyone with its originality, Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX offers an interesting twist on the burgeoning freestyle-stunt genre. --Mark Brooks

I enjoyed this game tremendously.It has awesome graphics and a cool way of controlling.The way that you can pull off the moves and grinds is so easy and can easily make this one of the funnest games out so far.I recommend this to every person that has ever picked up a controller it is one of the funnest games.

The music was incrediabally good, the sound effects were whack!! and the crashes and tricks were so sick~ this game wowed me. it blew my mind. I'd say this game is just as good as the tony hawk games in every aspect!! Buy this game!!

This game is awesome i am bike freak so thats why i got it. All of the levels are cool. the graphics are even better. All the tricks are easy to land. the bikes you can get are cool too. there are Specilized fatboys, Haros and DK's i only named three,there are more.the music is awesome. the sponsors are awesome too. the tricks are unreal. if you like bikes than get it. If you like bikes you should also get NO FEAR DOWNHILL MOUNTAIN BIKE RACING for playstation

By TheFog I only got this game because it was on sale. I bought this and got Jeremy McGrath Motocross free. I wanted the Motocross game so thought, hey two games for the price of one, great. I must tell you I haven't touched another game for about two weeks. It is just that good. It can be difficult at times, like having to grind 180 feet down the power lines behind Dave Mirra's house, and my wife is getting annoyed by the grunting noises she gets for responses now. But if you want a good game and are not worried about the rest of world discussing your disregard for the real world, buy this as soon as you can (if you can get it on sale that's just a bonus)
