Too hard for young Dora fansJan 25, 2004
This game is rather simple in theory but it seems to be very hard to get the characters to do what they are supposed to do. Every time you complete a level, you receive a password that must be written down in order to remember it. Maybe we just had a bum game, but half of the time even we entered the password correctly, it would say that it was unacceptable. This game is rated E for everyone but considering that most Dora fans are ages 3-7, I feel that this game is too advanced for Dora fans. Our four year old couldn't play it. Shoot, even mom and dad had a hard time! I'd say pass on this one!

Too Hard for Younger Gamers, Get Pirate Pigs Game instead!May 21, 2004
By MomOBoys Super Spies opens with screen shots of Dora and friends telling you what the problem is and what you're going to need to do in written form. So if you're kids don't read yet, they just get some SILENT pictures to button press thru. Then the game starts, and they need to be able to watch for the backpack image in the corner of the sceen, and then know to press it, find the right item, and continue. The first item she needs is glasses so she can see hidden ways thru shrubs or objects. The problem is that with the glasses on it's hard to tell what's happening. Once you finally finish a level, you need to write down a password to save your place. UGH. I was hoping for cute Dora music, and easier game play since Dora is really aimed at the preschoolers. Game has annoying repetitive "game" beeping sounds, but not Dora music, with the exception of "I'm the map" everytime you advance to the map section. Big Bummer. I then bought the Pirate Pig game for Dora and it has what I was looking for! Music & easier gamelay! So pass on this and get the Pirate game! You'll be glad you did!

Great game for a 6 year old!!!Mar 22, 2005
By Aimwil I bought my daugther this game for her 6th birthday and so far it is her favorite. She picked it up right away and it's easy for her to do! She also got the Barbie Princess and Pauper game, the Nicktoons Freeze Frame, and Disney Princess game and this one is much easier than all of them. I even enjoy playing it!

difficult for beginnersJan 10, 2005

This game is an ok game, like others have said, for younger kids its a bit difficult. One thing tho yoiu do not hae to write down the password after each level, just when you decide you want to stop. This way when you turn the gameboy back on you can get back to where you left off. Dora just needs the glasses to get past the bush or whatever is blocking her path and then you can take them off and see clearly. It is necessary to get al the crystals which can be pretty difficult for the usual Dora fan.

AWESOME!!!!!Jan 08, 2006
By Hipteacher This is a great beginner game for kids. Santa brought both our 6 and 4 year old gameboys for Christmas and included this game. However, he should have brought 2 of the Dora games. Both the kids love playing it and easily find success at it. I am so glad Santa had such a good idea. I have every intention of buying more games like this one.
