Totally dissapointed, don't even botherJun 23, 2002
By Ryan Whitehouse I rented this game and I was VERY dissapointed. The controls are pretty simple, but that ends the short list of pros. The thing that really bugs me is the VERY touchy cars. I know they are F-1 racers, but they are super easy to control in "single race" mode, but when in the Euro or US champs, one SLIGHT touch on the stick sends your car into a crazy spinout. The graphics are mediocare, and the music is just pitiful. There are only a few cheezy, repetive songs, no more than a few diffrent beeps in random order. Hell, it sounds like musi fron the first Mario Bros. on GameBoy. If you dont crash or leave the track at maximum speed for about a minute, you enter "the zone". Your car gets a slight boost in speed(15-20mph) and handling. There is a "zone meter" on the bottom of the screen that shows how long until you enter the zone. The graphics dont even begin to use the GC's potential power, and 90% of the game is locked until you beat something. In "story mode" some levels are incredibly easy, and others are INSANELY hard. Ratings Key 1=totally [stinks] 2=Highly below average 3=below average 4=slightly below average 5=average/mediocare 6=slightly above average 7=above average 8=highly above average 9=excellent 10=perfectControls: 9/10 Simple controls, gas, brake, reverse, view change, reverse view, reset car Story: 7/10 Pretty clear story line, but some parts of the game are out-of-place and confusing, sometimes hard to follow Graphics: 4/10 Nothing special here. Sound: 1/10 Very limited sound effects. 4 or 5 at the most. Only cheezy music, and even that is limited to 3 or 4 songs. BIG dissapointment here. Fun Factor: 3/10 This game does have some fun moments, but not that many. There are a lot of frustrating points, so this is not one of my enjoyed games. Overall: 2/10 Looks okay, but as far as I'm concerned, a total digscrace to the GameCube Don't bother/rent/buy This is in my opinion a DON'T BOTHER or if you are really into F-1 racing, maybe a RENT. NO WAY this game deserves a buy, despite its ... price tag. Its not worth a nickel.

Good good product only mind that the game is not very maneuverable, but everything in there but this well for any minor child.
Frantic pace racingMay 31, 2008
By W. Woodall These cars fly!!! It's fun to zip around with the music playing hyper rythms. It's forgiving, so if you hit a wall, you're not out of the race. Me and my daughter both loved it.
My boys hate itOct 05, 2007

Bought this for my boys (10/12). They hate it and have nothing but scorn for it.
OK, But there is much Better for GCNov 25, 2002
This game is ok for me. The graphics are really nothing special at all. Some people say the story line is pointless and the music is horrible, but all that came from the movie Driven. The game is sometimes fun. Some of the levels get very boring, but some are fun to play over and over again. For this games price, if you don't want to spend much money and want to get an acceptable racing game, this is a n okay buy, just don't expect racing like in NFS Hot Pursuit 2 or Burnout.
