May want to just get FIFA 06 instead.Oct 13, 2006
By Chris It's hard to find review for this game just yet on the Web, so I figured I'd throw in my two cents. This is after playing the game for a few days.
Good - Training mode: Allows you to do little mini-challenges to improve your guys ala Winning Eleven. - Create Your Own Chant: Why don't they have this on the consoles? It's an outstanding idea! Well-executed, as well! - Touch runs: Calling out a run using the touch pad is a fun idea. However, it's a little clumsy trying to use this feature in the middle of a game. (You'd probably want to use a stylus so you can be more exact, but it's not really an option in the middle of the action.)
Bad - Gameplay issues: FIFA 06 played a pretty fun game of EA-style soccer. But this version seems to take a step back from FIFA 06. Very strange.
For example,
* Normal tackles are much, much, MUCH more touchy in 07. If you try to do a benign "A" tackle, and you're not directly in front of the attacker, you'll probably end up fouling the attacker.
* The AI seems to be sloppier than last time. I'm noticing a lot more bad clearances from the other team in non-dire situations.
* Finally, you need multiple cards for multiplayer games. You didn't in FIFA 06!
Essentially, if EA would've been able to add the new features & keep the FIFA 06 engine intact, we'd have a winner here. But as it stands, this game probably isn't much of an improvement over its predecessor.
If you want soccer on the DS, I'd say get a cheap copy of FIFA 06.

Fatal FlawsDec 29, 2006
By Roxas At the end of the day you can have all the features in the World but if the playability is gone then you have nothing. This game has fatal flaws that cannot be lived with. The playability is awful. By the way the players move you would think they were all on roller skates. They have tried to make it realistic with real time ball flow but not given you the tools to help. If you sprint with the ball and stop the ball keeps moving about 10 feet away from you. It's great when the computer is running on the counter towards your goal and the ball rolls out for a goal kick, not so great when time and again it happens to you. Try before you buy as this has ruined 5 years of stats for me. I have every Fifa for the GBA and now DS...this is as bad as the dreadful World Cup version. I will be trading in my DS and all the games next week and I'm trying Fifa this weekend on a friends PSP to try and salvage my 5 years worth of collected statistics. The corners are now in slow motion which is just their way of gettinga round the dreadful slow down/frame rate. The shooting now sails over the bar and only a little tap actually has accuracy, anything stronger forget it. Everybody just slips about on the ice with the ball rolling all over the place...abysmal.

Great game.Oct 08, 2006
By Hector F. Casteblanco Soccer games normally arent that good for the ds but this one is pretty fun. its got great modes and excellent gameplay. the only thing bad is that sometimes the controls seem to respond too slowly but other than that i recommend it. especially if soccer is your #1 favorite sport. p.s. the create-your-own chant mode is awesome.

I bought this game finding it in the store as the only DS game still in stock along with wiffle ball... after reviewing wiffle ball and seeing poor reviews I opted for FIFA 07... I am SO disappointed. Horrible game play, horrible touchy controls, need multiple cartridges to play anyone else, I guess maybe if you live, eat and breath soccer, you might KIND of like this game. Poor call EA SPORTS!

Fifa 07 is awesome! You can create your own custom team, take control of a real club in career mode, and you can even create your own cheer with the microphone and add whistles, horns, drums, and other instruments to play during a game!
