Dark times have spread over the world of Gaia. Four separate governing nations, some blinded by their short-sighted greed, some persevering in the name of justice, are battling on and off in a deadly game for power. One kingdom, that of Lindblum, headed by the honorable and trustworthy Regent Cid, finally decides to take a stand against the unspeakable massacres by the troops of Alexandria. Enlisting the aid of mere bandits to kidnap Princess Garnet of the Alexandria Empire, for information and interrogation, Garnet and her bodyguard actually join Cid's cause, knowing full well the outlandish recklessness of the governing Queen, who counterattacks with an onslaught of warriors. Thus begins a crossfire that would engulf the world in something far worse than political standoffs. ff9Mar 09, 2010 for a playstation 1 game this game is awesome theres plenty of sidequests and mini games ,hidden bosses,hidden items just an awesome rpg and 4 disks long but now onto the bad news the battles are very long and slow it makes replay value very low but if you can get passed the slowness its an amazing rpg.on a sidenote if your a rpg gamer youve might have notice the main character is a silent guy with immotional issues about being abbandon well not this main he's a bit of a perv on 1 hand its a nice change of pace but it can get kinda downright creepy but not enough to not play.

Final Fantasy IXFeb 22, 2010 This game is what got me into Final Fantasy years ago, I was instantly hooked then, and as soon as I bought this game for my self this year I was instantly hooked yet again!
It has probably my second favorite storyline (second only to FFX)in the Final Fantasy series, the game play is extreamly fun, graphics are great, especially when you consider when it came out! It HAS the funnest side quests in ALL the Final Fantasy series, Tetra Masters (A card game) and Chocobo Hot & Cold is amazingly addicting!
I rate this 5 out of 5 starts!
Highly recommended to any who like Final Fantasy!
didn't finishFeb 11, 2010 I didn't finish it. Probably won't. I went on a FF binge and I couldn't make it through this one. I think COD 4 came out when I quit lol.
