Several gangs are locked in a turf war, and your goal is to work for one of them and rise through the ranks to become a crime lord in GRAND THEFT AUTO 2. The payphone is your lifeline to the mob bosses, as this is only way you'll get jobs. Once you have completed a job, new and more challenging tasks become available. In all of the jobs, speed is the key to success, and since walking won't finish any job in time, you will have to "borrow" a vehicle. Luckily, every car you see can be stolen. While you're working, though, you'll want to keep a low profile and stay away from the cops; if they catch you, it is Game Over. Try to become the leader of your own crime syndicate in GRAND THEFT AUTO 2.

Fun, fun, funNov 10, 2001
This game is definately better than the first for GBC. The PC version is better, of course, but for the GBC, it truly rocks. You have great weapons, hot cars, and challenging missions. Between running from rival gangs and the cops, this game is a fast-paced, thrill-a-minute driver game.

SweetJun 27, 2001
This game is sweet. The graphics are a hundred times better thean than the 1st one. The sound is very good and there are a wide veriety of jobs and cars. If you thought GTA 1 for playstation or gameboy was iresistable you'll never put GTA 2 down. This game is a must get for gameboy gamers.

Improved, but still is not as good as the PS One version.Aug 07, 2002
If you can say anything about this title, it is that everything is quite improved. There are more cars to steal, and actually hijacking them is so much easier than the first game. You get lots more weapons, and they are easier to find this time. The missions themselves are much more exciting than in the first game, so you will always be on the edge of your seat. The open-ended gameplay allows you to complete the gang missions in any order, making it easier for the average gamer. However, the cities are not a big as their Playstation counterparts. There is still no blood/gore, so the adult feel of the game is lost. Driving the actual cars is very much unchanged, but the music is better this time around. An excelllent game for the driving genre, but not reallly "adult" enough to convey the "crime-spree" feeling of the Playstation versions.

wow it's the best everDec 27, 2000
wow that's the first thing I said when I opened this great game. The graphics are way better. The missions have a little more depth and thinking involved. the sound was great also no way that that car crashing could sound more real. the cops are a little harder than the first wich is good. All in all this is way better than the first one so if you liked that one you'll never want to put this one down
