My nephew said controls were good and graphics were great. Good game for the older little guys 9-12 age kids. Most games r violent or toddler this is a nice adventure game in between these two categories.

5Green Lantern 3DSMar 08, 2012

The graphics start off in 2D because its in Comic Book mode. Once the 3D kicks in, the gameplay becomes AWESOME!!! It takes some practice getting used to the moves and learning how to create the right combinations needed. The challenges get harder as you progress through the game, keeping you on your toes constantly. The game itself is overall fun and exciting!!!

4Green Lantern 3DSJul 13, 2011
By Dennis S
I first tried this game at Wonder Con. What caught my attention was the ability to fly. It reminded me of the superman arcade game since you can kick, punch, and shoot while flying, but this was so much more. The game play is moderate in difficulty, but it's very addictive. I have had no difficulties with the 3D effects of the 3DS and have have played for hours on the 3D setting. I did notice however that the 3D in this game is a little ghost like, but it could be because the graphics are quite small. The game is set after the the Green Lantern movie. The Manhunters are cyborgs who were the original guardians of the universe who are attacking the Green Lanterns and different planets in revenge against the Green Lantern Corp.

4Early review, it's hard to be a Green Lantern but great to fly and battleJun 20, 2011

Perhaps my hands on the 3DS are too big to navigate the complete array of useful buttons and on-screen touch, but the screen is also very small for my adult-eyes. Criticisms aside, having been a Green Lantern fan from the early 60's, it is great to be able to fly and use Hal's ring to battle, but for me getting past the first confrontation w/the Manhunters is not easy by any means and there is no level selection. I should also add, that the 3D-view can hamper game play in that it is difficult to keep the unit at a uniform distance no matter at which 3D-level you've committed the unit to play; I have found myself switching to 2D for consistency sake and then beginning to ask myself why did I chose to be an early adopter when clearly this gaming unit and playable screen should have been larger for ease of use and even better immersion factor. This may be the reason the 3DS has not been flying out the doors. However, that having been said, I've other 3DS games that aren't as terribly plagued by the 2D vs 3D issue of game play. The adult in me has always known I'm not GL material, but the kid in me appreciates the chance to imagine what it could be like to battle as one. It would be interesting if they get passed this and they'd develop either an extension module or create a separate game to include the other Lanterns (yellow, red, orange, blue, indigo, star_sapphire, white and black) w/game play similar to some to the Pokemon carts in that the colors have their own games designed but are also designed after a certain point to be able to link-up to other carts, everyone playing as their favorite color and lantern therein, that would be ambitious. For now, I'll be happy to reach the first major save point - I am not a fan of starting over again. 8(
