This game totally rocks!Sep 01, 2010 I know there's a big debate about first person shooter, but I have to tell you, I love this game. My entire family plays it together - my two girls; 9 & 6 along with my husband and I.
My little ones have no problem knowing that this is a game. Here's the typical game night:
"I see Bob... I'm coming to get you Bob... I'm going to kill Bob..." chants my 9 year old followed by, "One more for me. Oh, look, there's Hardy... I'm coming to get you Hardy... What, where'd you go.... there you are... I'm going to kill Hardy...." My screen goes dark. I'm dead. I know she's a sweet little girl and doesn't realized the panic and terror she's invoking with her high pitched monolog of doom, but hey, it works!
Then there's my six year old. "I see Dad. I'm going to jump over you and kill you." Followed by massive giggling. And sure enough, that's just what she does: Jumping as she makes her avatar jump and spinning as she kills him with two punches to the back of the head.
Then you hear the girls fighting, "No fair making a fortress! That's cheating!"
Apparently, youngest has developed an interesting strategy in Halo. She buys a cache of weapons, stashes them in a corner. Then she plants mines all around the area so only she knows the safe route. Next she ventures until she spots another player.... You can guess what comes next. Blam! You step into a mine as you chase her. Not bad for a 6 year old. LOL
For us, it's a game our whole family can enjoy!
Excellent all aroundAug 26, 2010 The game was solid. Single player was decently lengthed, if my memory serves me, at around 15 hours of gameplay. The story was entertaining and filled with a variety of circumstances that really kept the player on the edge of suspense. Multiplayer was a blast, if unbalanced, certain weapons being vastly overpowered. And co-op. The single player was long enough, epic enough, and fun enough to make the co-op experience probably one of the most satisfying gaming experiences of my life, and I've done a lot of gaming.
halo 3 reviewAug 26, 2010 Well, where to start. I really really love this game. It is honestly one of my favorites. (spoiler alert!!!!) I think that they ended the game waaay to early... I can't believe that Master Chief dies in the end... that is soooo freakin' lame!!!! they ended one of their best series waaay to early... but other then that, the online multiplayer is amazing! and the campaign is fun.
The Complete Halo 3 Multiplayer Experience!Aug 20, 2010 Halo 3 is now a classic multiplayer gem for the xbox 360, but it also should be for the PC that would be incredible!
the graghics, gameplay, sound, online, controls and everything else (besides the extremely retarded campaign) is 100% original!
i wish that Halo 3 would just have all armor, maps, acheivements, emblems and tons of NEW ones to unlock!
Including skulls then that would be awesome!
With no campaign!
if you want to download all the 24 maps and armor with your money, then get this.
But if you want all maps and armor with a better campaign with its own first-ever horde then get ODST!!!
The videos, screenshots, matchmaking, custom games, forge (level-editor), all of it is extremely fun!
But get "Halo 3: ODST" intsead you get all 24 maps and have a chance to unlock the legendary armor "RECON"!!!

Bud's Halo 3 reviewAug 18, 2010 I know I am behind the curve on getting to play Halo 3 but I am age 68 and just moved up from regular Xbox which I have played all of the levels and the top level over so many times it just wore it out. The disk just quit. So a month ago I moved to 360 Elite and bought COD-MW and Halo 3 ODST. ODST was great but way too short so I just had to get Halo 3 to play through before Halo Reach comes out in a month. Now I am working my way up the levels of 3. It is awesome! It was available at a great price as well. I purchased a separate 50 inch Samsung Plazma TV and Bose surround sound system and put it all in a spare room so I can lose myself there. It is quite an experience. OK, don't bother me. I am going to play Halo 3.
