A four-disc RPG epic, The Legend of Dragoon is set in a time of swords, magic, and dragons. Ten thousand years prior, the Dragon War pitted Dragoons--humans with the power to control dragons--against Enslavers, magicians who sought to enslave the humans. Now Dart, a young warrior, is on a quest to find the demon that killed his parents. The Legend of Dragoon features prerendered, 3-D backgrounds and detailed, polygonal figures. Several nonplaying characters and many full-motion video scenes take you through the complex story. The game's turn-based battle engine allows you to increase the strength of an attack through repeated button taps and shows the percentage increase you've created. A timing feature in the battle modes allows you to add devastating combinations to your attacks. The Spirit Points you accumulate during your quest can be used to unlock a special power, known as the Dragon attack.

works on my ps3(80gig Non backwards compatible)Nov 26, 2009 Im not gonna review the game play there are enough reviews on that.............
When it came in the mail i was very excited to play it, but i couldn't play it on my ps2 because i don't have a ps1 memory card. Then i downloaded a psx emulator to play it, but it wasn't running that good. then i looked at my ps3(the newer model that cannot play ps1 or ps2 games. though i remember downloading something off the ps store that said will allow you ps3 to play some ps2 and ps1 games. so i popped it in, hoping for the best. screen goes black then the ps1 logo comes on. woot!
really fun long rpgNov 11, 2009 While the dialouge is somewhat cheesy the plot has good twists and it has a failry unique turn based attack system making it more than simply picking an actino and watching things play out. One of my all time favorites. I have played it three times and it never gets old. Great game!
Best Sony Made RPG Ever!Oct 19, 2009 The Legend of Dragoon game has better graphics than the Final Fantasy games, even though the Final Fantasy games were made many moons later. It is very intense, you use additions and depending on if you press the right buttons at the right time you do more or less damage to your advesaries. I recommend this game to all hardcore RPGers.
Worth It All The WayOct 09, 2009 I was first introduced to this game when I was little - and I've loved it ever since. I've always been an avid fan of the Final Fantasy series for a long time, as well, but I think that in the long run Legend Of Dragoon is much more valuable than any of the FF games.
I've played Final Fantasy VII, which I suppose was the more popular counterpart of Legend's time, but I've never been able to get past the second disc because it had bored me so much. The Legend of Dragoon has everything I could want in an RPG.
-- The battling system is simple but hard enough that I want to keep going till I get their moves perfect.
-- Great music. I admit that it isn't up to par with Final Fantasy's music, but it's very nice and memorable.
-- Lovely story. It started out kind of rough but still likable then completely flared out into this complex story where all of the characters are intertwined in some way. The story is magical.
-- The graphics were a nice touch - not the best I've seen, but it makes me like this game all the more.
But honestly, it isn't boring. The story isn't a straight line; I swear that it's so much of an adventure that you'll be amazed once you finally reach the end. And it's something you'll want to carry with you for a long time.
I hope that the people who are buying this aren't also buying in to the rumors that this game is horrible. Just have an open mind and a love for RPGs and this game may be the one for you.
Bryce the game-a-holicOct 02, 2009 It's a very challenging game and keeps you occupied. Has lots of boss battles in it.
