Description:

NFL BLITZ 2000 brings fast-paced, no-holds-barred football action to the field. Rather than offering a standard football game, NFL BLITZ 2000 changes the rules a little. The game is played seven-on-seven, and it takes 30-yards to get a first down. But probably the most important rule change is that there are no penalties. When you start the game, you have the choice of playing in the Arcade or Season mode. Arcade has you pick a team and try to defeat all of the other teams in the league, while in the Season mode, you take your team through the grueling NFL season in hopes of making the playoffs and winning the Super Bowl. No matter how you play the game, you will not miss a second of the action, thanks to three different camera angles. Try to keep your helmet on while playing NFL BLITZ 2000.

Features:

seven-on-seven football

30-yard first downs

no penalties

Arcade and Season modes

three different camera angles

1Terrible in it's horriblenessJan 09, 2001

This is quite simply the worst game I have ever seen for the Gameboy color platform. NFL Blitz is an excellent game for pretty much everything but the Gameboy. The colors are poorly done and the gameplay is just plain bad. Plays don't work properly, the game moves so fast that it's almost impossible to tell what's going on, and the views on the game don't give you the classic football feel. Do not buy this game, I guarantee you will be disappointed.

YOU CANT SEE THE CHARCTERS! you also cant read the plays, you need a gameboy magnafier to do it! this game makes me so mad! The screen was all blurry and it was full of bugs! Lucky for me i took a hammer to this game...

4better than 99Dec 26, 1999

blitz is a great game especially with the 3 different camera angles. top view where they move left to right. classic where movement is up and down and you see more of the field and coaches view where offense and defense are "X"'s and "O"'s. with all the teamsyou know and love but a great thing is there isnt one dominating team all teams vary. there are great plays to choose from. the only lacking part is there arent any bone crunching hits and the game moves very fast. it looks more like two hand tag football. if u love blitz this game is for u.

1THE WORSTJul 04, 2000

I loved the arcade and the N64 version of this game, and was really excited when it came out...i was greatly let down. I can't see. I try to make out the different plays that you can call (which all seem the same) and then hike the ball. Then, the guys become all blurry and my linemen give me about two seconds of pretection and different colored blurrs drift tward my QB and i am sacked. I tryed running away, sacked, i tried passing, incomeplete EVERY TIME! It makes me so frusterated i turn it off. I have never even comepleted a game.

1It just ain't fun like thisJun 24, 2002

Don't get me wrong, I love playing NFL Blitz, but the portable versions are just godawful. While the first GameBoy Color version of Blitz is fun at first, it quickly wears thin. First off, you can barely see the football, next the graphics are really, really blurry (especially when you play it on an old GameBoy in black & white), and sometimes the controls are unresponsive. Now, I'm not saying the NFL Blitz games are bad games (most of them anyway, the recent GBA game is horrible), but you should take any other version of a Blitz game; whether its on PS1, PS2, Dreamcast, N64, Gamecube, or XBox; over this any day.
