5Great Memory Card!Jul 20, 2010
I ordered this memory card because we really needed the room on our GameCube. It was the perfect size, and I'd much rather keep track of one card than three or four of the smaller cards. I loved the fact this one holds so much information compared to the tiny card we originally had. Not only is it a great card and works great, but it arrived very quickly and there were no problems at all! I also feel better about using this memory card, because it is an actual Nintendo product. I also haven't had any problems with corruption! Defnitely recommend this card to any of the smaller ones!

1Not Wii-compatible!Jul 09, 2010
The Wii will destroy the card at random.

All saves on the card will corrupt. They will remain corrupt when moved to a 59 or a 251. They remain corrupt when using the card on a REAL Gamecube. The card remains corrupted when all saves on the card have been erased and new saves are started using ONLY a real Gamecube.

It's a $20 white brick.

The background:

I purchased this 1019 memory card when I bought my Wii. I never had a Gamecube, so I thought I'd mess around with some Gamecube games due to the Wii's backwards compatibility. Deceptively, with no issues, I played several Gamecube games on my Wii over the course of a few months.

Then I played F-Zero GX with 1019 on Wii. From that point on, my 1019 was bricked and all my saves were lost. Are certain games' save mechanisms not compatible with Wii/1019? Is the Wii randomly introducing electric shock to corrupt the card? The cause may not be known, but I have a $20 white brick. It can't be formatted.

I'll consider buying another someday, but only to use in a real Gamecube.

5It's just memory peopleMar 15, 2010
It works fine. I have had zero problems with it. It came in the mail, I opened it and plugged it into my gamecube memory slot. Like magic, the games now save. It's absolutely amazing! Not much else to say.

1Do Not Insert Into Your Wii!!!Jan 30, 2010
As far as using this memory card on your Gamecube it's great! When used on the Wii system it corrupts and you lose years of hard earned save data, I found out the hard way! Only use memory card 251 on your Wii. This memory card gets a 5 out of 5 rating when used on Gamecube but a negative 1 million rating when used on the Wii. Hope this helps someone to not have the same misfortune I had.
