Description:

MODEL- NTRPAD7E VENDOR- NINTENDO FEATURES- Nintendogs (Dalmation) DS Nintendogs which comes in four versions features puppies of the most popular dog breeds including Chihuahuas Labrador retrievers beagles and German shepherds. Each version of the game comes with six breeds to choose from at the start and additional breeds are unlocked as you play the game or interact wirelessly with other Nintendogs players. All 19 breeds are unlockable in each version. This is your pet and although it does not shed it still needs your love. With the stylus you pet your Nintendog all the way from head pats to belly rubs. The more love you give the more your Nintendog will bond with you. As your puppy becomes your best friend you use the built-in microphone to teach your dog its name and many tricks! So after you train your dog to know its name it will come to you (and your DS's bottom screen) when you call its name. After it learns a trick it will perform that trick when you tell it to. For example after it learns the sit command your pup will take a seat each time you say "sit." Of course you need to care for your little pup. This includes regular feeding watering walking and bath time. If you are a person who does not play video games every day do not worry about anything bad happening to your Nintendog if you do not get to it every day. Nintendogs do not die and they stay puppies forever. If you have not played the game for a few days though your puppy will be thirsty hungry and might need a bath when you start the game up. Your puppy needs to go out for walks naturally but these walks are special. In addition to giving your pup some exercise your Nintendog will come across special item boxes. Inside these boxes are all sorts of goodies from apparel to to

5Did you find the Fireman's Hat?Oct 24, 2006
By gailmarie "gailmarie"
The only way you can unlock the Dalmation is to find the Fireman's hat during a walk. If you have been unlucky and want a dalmation, you can buy the Dalmation edition.

Basically there are 20 dogs in all... 18 of which are featured in the first 3 editions (see below). Dalmations and Jack Russel Terriers are the only dogs that are not featured in any of the first 3 games. This newest edition includes Dalmations and 5 other popular dogs from the other 3 games. I assume they will release Jack Russel edition next. lol

Games and dogs included:

Dachund & Friends: 1) Dachshund 2) Beagle 3) Shih Tzu 4) Pug 5) Golden Retriever 6) Siberian Husky

Chihuahua & Friends: 1) Chihuahua 2) Boxer 3) Spaniel 4) Yorkshire Terrier 5) Shetland Sheepdog 6) German Shepherd

Labrador Retriever & Friends: 1) Lab 2) Corgi 3) Min Pin 4) Poodle 5) Shiba Inu 6) Miniature Schnauzer

Dalmation & Friends: 1) Dalmation 2) Boxer 3) German Shepherd 4) Golden Retriever 5) Yorkshire Terrier 6)Beagle

NOTE!!!!! EVERY EDITION HAS THE POTENTIAL TO UNLOCK ALL 20 DOGS. So if you want to do it on your own you can!! That's what I hope to do.

REGARDING THE JACK RUSSEL: you can unlock it by finding a book on Jack Russel Terriers during a walk.

5AVOID THIS GAME...Dec 30, 2006
By Eyesk
Avoid this game if you don't want your child laughing and giggling and

plain ignoring all the other gifts she got for Christmas. Avoid this game

if you don't want your child learning about dogs and their care and

feeding. Avoid this game if you don't want your child excitedly

interrupting you to show you the latest trick she taught her dog or what a

good groomer she is, etc. Avoid this game if it is important to you that

your child is constantly engaged in some loud, life-or-death violent

struggle with some alien, or demon, or other enemy, as opposed to having

an imaginative and constructive virtual relationship with man's best

friend.

Will the game get boring, as some comments have intimated? I think it

depends on the person, and whether you like dogs. Some people get

bored with walking and caring for real pets, too. And some people look

forward to their walks with their dog, and don't mind in the least the

cleaning up that goes with it. I can also see how this game could be

appealing to any age group, again, assuming you like dogs.

Also, from what I've heard, the Nintendogs game seems to appeal more than

the SIMS PETS, especially from a graphics and interactive standpoint, but

that the SIMS PETS is fun and nice if you have other SIMS stuff.

The yelp your child makes when s/he first discovers that they can actually

blow against the touch-screen to blow bubbles to the puppy is priceless.

My one concern so far is what happens to the dogs if one doesn't play the

game for a few days? Do they become famished? Since not playing the game

hasn't become an issue, it may be awhile before I find out the answer to

that.

Time will tell of course about how long this game will generate enthusiam,

but I already feel that we've already gotten more than our money's worth

out of the game, in just this short while, especially compared to other

games the kids exhaust after only ten or so hours.

5Great GameJun 10, 2007

This game is great.

You have fun walking,playing,feeding,washing,brushing,training and doing stuff with your dogs. You have many dogs to choses from and you unlock dogs during the game.

*********************

Things to do with your dog -

* walking

* brushing

* feeding

* playing

* training

* washing

* going to contests

* and shopping.

**********************************

Gameplay

Game play is very smiple. You have to train your dogs to enter into one of the three contests. Your earn money and points by winning contests. Dog owner points unlock new dog breeds and differt clothes and toys for your dogs. You shop(with the money)for clothes,food,pet supplies,toys, and differnt backrounds for your dogs. You walk them(dogs)take them to the park and keep them clean. There are some other things to do ...but what I explained was the simple gameplay.

*********************************

Cons---

The only bad thing is that the game can get kinda boring and there never is really new things to do. But other than that the game is great

*****************************************************

Okay... overall the game is great and fun. I would reommend this game to dogs lovers who can't ahve a dog or just to any doglover with a nintendo Ds !!

LOL ..... Hope my review was helpful !!!!

3Great fun, but gets boring . . . .Jan 19, 2007
By H. Hubbart "Deer Lover"
When I got this game, I was thrilled and amazed at how complex it was: you can purchase your dog from a kennel, name it with your own voice, and talk to it, pet it, interact with it. But after awhile the game gets very repetitive. Feed. Water. Go for walk. Go to the park. Enter a competition. Feed. Water. Walk . . . you get the idea. As you earn "trainer points" (by interacting with your dog, winning competitions, etc.) you can unlock items and new breeds, which is pretty fun.

Overall, as a person who grooms, shows and helps breed dogs for a living, the realism in the game is fantastic, but it does get old!

5My Puppy Lover Loves ItMar 31, 2007
By D. Pfeiffer
I bought this game for my 11-year old daughter. She absolutely loves it, and I can see why. The graphics are beautiful. She says, "It's really cool, especially how you can unlock every breed in every version. One of my dogs has made it up to the championship." Her dad and I are very conservative when it comes to electronic games for our daughter; this is one we can feel really good about.
