Description: Ooga Booga is an island battle game in a class by itself--think Gilligan's Island but with four witch doctors and a volcano goddess named Ooga Booga in lieu of the castaways.
Don't be fooled by Ooga Booga's tiki lounge kitsch; this game will test your talents. You play as one of the kahunas, or witch doctors--Fatty, Twitchy, Hotty, and Hoodoo (yes, those are their names)--and lead your own tribe. Your goal is to gain the most points and win Ooga Booga's favor, thus avoiding her wrath. You do this by unceremoniously pummeling and outmaneuvering your opponents. Play is timed, so you've got to be fast.
It's doubtful you could find a more exotic cache of weapons than those offered by Ooga Booga. Your arsenal includes shrunken heads, native animals, magic spells, and canon-shooting tiki idols. Action takes place on four island maps. You can play with up to four players, and there are a variety of first-person shooter contests, including capture the flag, king of the hill, tiki wars, and various deathmatches. Using the game's Smackdown and Soccer modes, you can vary gameplay.
What promises to be one of Ooga Booga's coolest features is its online multiplayer game. Using the Dreamcast modem, you can go totally tribal and form your own clan, create competitions, and, as you win, unlock special spells and masks, thus increasing your tribe's ranking.

Welcome breath of fresh air to the gaming world.Nov 04, 2001

I have not seen anything like this game. It is a fantastic game, and although the later levels get somewhat difficult, it is fun to just pick up and put some smack down. Great characters, excellent presentation, and the frame rate is oh-so-smooth. There are so many different elements of the game to master, like the boar riding, shrunken-head-throwing and the tiki statues. This game will have you thinking on your feet and the replay value is excellent. Definitely worth owning.

Ooga Booga - It's the big kahuna in funApr 02, 2005
By DC Addict This game was a big surprise. After I got used to the controls and game play (take a bit of practice), I couldn't get enough of it. My girlfriend and I have wasted countless hours playing the death matches (smakahuna). Once you beat the practice levels the death matches get more exciting with the inclusion of new weapons and objects. There's a few glitches and the ocasional lock up, just keep your DC cool as this game really works it over. It's big kahuna fun.

lots of giggles and frantic funJan 16, 2002
By "100+ Wedding Games" author i'm a gal who when i do sit down to play, prefers fighting games cause i have no patience for RPG games. i really love Ooga Booga because i can travel all over the terrain against my opponent, unlike Soul Caliber where i'm pretty much stuck in one plane.
This game really makes me laugh and doesn't take a huge investment of time to learn. when i first played it, i thought it was boring cause i didn't know you had to unlock spells by going thru the tutorial. after you unlock a few things, it's very entertaining. the violence is cute, not gory, and it's not a bunch of repetitive gunfire. in fact, you don't use guns, you throw things and ride wild hogs. the fighting is very fast paced. if you like Fur Fighters, this is even cuter.

Ooga Booga is a masterpiece.Jan 10, 2005

Ooga Booga is the greatest game of all time. It makes me want to run around my bedroom in my Tarzan outfit and beat my girlfriend with my club. It reminds me of my former job as a rodeo clown where I could just pull my pants down and smile while my life was on the line. I highly reccomend this to anybody who thinks they can handle this outrageously wild game. From the second I popped this bad boy in, I could not get enough. The makers of this game deserve to win an Oscar for creating such a magnificent piece of artwork. I have played many video games in my 45 years on this earth and none can even begin to compare with the excellence of Ooga Booga. If you haven't experienced the thrills of Ooga Booga, your life up to this point has been a total failure.
