Suprisingly good...Feb 16, 2007

"warning sign"
First off, I'm 27 years old. No, I don't have any kids. As strange as that may seem considering we're talking about Open Season, it's true! I actually enjoyed this game quite a bit. I rented it because I was looking to pick up some achievement points and figured it'd be an easy 1000. As another poster mentioned however, it was a lot more challenging to complete the game than I anticipated. Yes, it can be completed by an adult in 3 or 4 hours, but it took me closer to 8 to get the full 1000 points. I'm sure you could double or triple that for someone younger...not to mention the fact that the replay value would be much higher as well. I thought the graphics were sharp and the voice work was pretty spot on considering they didn't use the real actors from the movie. I actually found myself chuckling out loud on quite a few occasions as well.
The only flaw that I could see was the fact that the game made you follow a set path. You could deviate off the path a little bit, but couldn't go out and explore on your own. That being said, we're not talking about Oblivion here. In the end, it's only a minor gripe.
Overall, I really enjoyed Open Season. It was refreshing to pick up a game and just have fun with it without worrying about too many different factors. I'm a huge fan of games like Gears of War and Ghost Recon, but Open Season actually made me wish that there were more games like this around.

Don't waste your moneyNov 30, 2006
By Big Dawg 0414 My 9 year old daughter finished this rip off in under 4 hours. I didn't believe her so I checked it out and I finished in less than 3 hours. The game does not allow you to explore anything - strictly tunnels to follow with no deviation to anything fun. It had potential, but the developers restricted game play to such a small area that it takes away all the fun. Just follow the path and win the game. Don't waste your money or time.
Very Fun Game For The KidsMay 22, 2011
By Jennifer Belanger My kids have a blast with this game. They like trying to find all of the coins and badges to complete the story. It is a cute game to watch my kids play because it is very kid appropriate all of the time and it has some very funny parts in it as well.

Grandson enjoys it.Apr 16, 2010
By Ann B. It's an interesting game to watch the grandson play. I personally like the story games that have areas you must finish before continuing on to the next part.
