Over The Hedge takes players on an interactive adventure beyond the story seen in the film. Assuming the roles of RJ the raccoon, Verne the turtle, Hammy the squirrel and Stella the skunk, players turn a suburban neighborhood loaded with dangerous obstacles and traps into their own personal playground. Numerous puzzles and mini-games keep fans busy as they switch between two of the four main characters or engage in two player co-op with friends. The boy cant stop playing !!Mar 28, 2007
By T. Daley My almost 4 year old son has really taken to this game....actually he spends too much time on it ! We purchased this game when he was 3 1/2 years old and he was a little itimidated at first but quickly grasped the jumping and fighting. Perhaps some may think it is a little violent ....having RJ, Hammy, Verne and Stella running around smacking rats with rolling pins and golf clubs. It is not a reality based violence so I dont believe it is something that effects him. Either way it is a game that a small child can play but it can be a little discouraging at times, but it allows for the parent to play along and have a good time. I would recommend this game for younger childern on the days that they cant get outside and play.

By V.Chang My 8 and 6 years kids love it. They called it the best games they've ever played. The movement and action of all characters are so cute and they usually made us laugh. The character have to fight with other animals to finish some "missions". However, they don't really kill enemy...just stun them by various sports goods, toys, or toilet cleaning equipments. No bloody screen and no brutal action. This game can be played alone (with a partner assigned by game) or by 2 players and control is not complicated for young kids. This game is rated Everyone(10+), but I don't think it causes any side-effect for kids under 10.

By Ms Terri We searched for months at Target, WalMart, etc., for Over the Hedge and could not find it anywhere. So I ordered it online. The kids can't stop playing it and all i hear is laughter! They love it. Thanks Amazon!!!

All in all this game is pretty fun - and I'm a bit of an older gamer. It's controls and graphics are smooth. Overall, it's a pretty good run-around hit stuff/don't die game.
