Well, this isn't bad at all!Jun 07, 2010
By Funky Winkerbean I'm not sure what I was expecting with this game, but I went in very skeptical. However, given the price and the fact that I LOVE football I decided to try it. It's not bad! As a matter of fact, it's quite good! This may very well be a sleeper hit. I hope more people notice this game, because I could barely find any information on it at all prior to picking it up. I just got it on the strength of loving football games. This beats the pants off of a good number of football games that have come before it. For every FIFA game there is a FIFA Street 3 that wishes it could be good. This game DOES compete with the big boys, at least quietly behind the scenes. Give this little known gem a chance. It's worth every minute you'll sink into it.

Pure ExperienceAug 18, 2010
By KDubleU I am a true sports gamer that picked this game up based on price and description of the game. Being a true sport gamer I have played many soccer games over the years. Fifa, Fifa Street, Winning Eleven, even the new World Cup soccer game and more. I am very pleased with the game and will attempt to submit my review. I will cover gameplay, depth, and replay value. From a gameplay point of view I didn't know what to expect from Ubisoft when it came to a sports game. However they seemed to have thought this one through. Graphically it is a game that I would rate average. Do not let that fool you though. It is a 5-on-5 style soccer game with a feel in between a Fifa street style game & a traditional style soccer game. The gameplay and controls flow smoothly in my opinion and Ubisoft comes straight out with a dual joystick gameplay configuration. The game uses a meter style accurracy system that gives players more control over your accuracy of passes and shots on goal. This is a concept from other reviews that players found frustrating. I cannot see why when it adds a unique and welcome feel to the game. The dual analog use along with the aiming system works wonders. The penalty system could use some work. This is an area that takes impecable timing but the calls seem more accurate that most would assume. Reading over the tips during loading screens if you time slide tackles right you will hit the ball instead of the legs of the player dribbling and your meter doesn't increase. There is much much more in the lines of gameplay that Pure Futbol offers and I find it to be very inviting. As far as depth goes, the game has just enough for an initial launch. I played through the campaing mode a complete time and had to stop myself from starting another one. I will go into further depth when i cover the replay value. There is a create a player mode & a create a team mode. You can use this feature outside of the campaign mode and play exhibition matches and online. You earn points by playing games and meeting certain goals during games. During the campaign mode these goals allow you to unlock players from the other international teams. The points you earn throughout the campaing allow you to upgrade your player and determine the type of player that he will be on the field. I had roughly a thousand points left when I completed my campagin but I was very satisfied with my player and he was well rounded and realistic to my style of play. I haven't played any online games yet so I am unable to comment about how that works or the gameplay feels. Another thing that I read in a review was that people were frustrated with the ability to use their campaign team in exhibition mode. You cannot do that until you have completed the campaign. Your choice of players and roster you surround yourself with determines the overall rating of the team so choose wisely. Your path ultimately during the campaing decides the type of team you will have. Lastly, the replay value of the game is in my opinion, high! As I previously stated I had to stop myself from immediatly starting another campaign right after finishing my first. Some may find the game repetitious. Far from it if you ask me. The challenge length or required point differential may be similar throughout but they manner in which you win is different almost everytime. Things that work the first time you face a team may not work the next time. I found each match to be most enjoyable and in some cases challenging. In regards to depth and replay value once you are done with the campaign mode you can upload your player into the world pool and other players can purchase your play offline and you can add players to your team. As I stated before the replay value is high and if you add a friend or two into th emix the game is great as well. Overall I give the game a 4.5-5 rating. It was a great purchase for a great price. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for something different to play.

It is no Fifa... but it is ok.Feb 13, 2011
By Sobrado If you are a Fifa player, I wouldn't buy this game. It is ok but it really does not handle like Fifa.
Decent Game, Fun Little CampaignMay 09, 2011

This game has a fun little campaign set up and just takes a little getting used to in the control department.
OK, for the average street soccer gameJan 15, 2011
By Pure I bought this game from amazon, and it was quite good. The gameplay was nice, and it's the most realistic street soccer game i've played. You can concede a penalty if you tackle too much, and you can run out of bounds. Shooting is more difficult than other games, because there's a meter and it goes up fast. There's a campaign mode, which is kind of like a really short career. There's lots of challenges, including 5 min game, 3 min game, first to 3 goals, and things like sudden death and stuff. The bad thing about street games is that after you finish the things like the campaign, there's not much to play. The price now is like 8.99 dollars, so it's not too expensive right now.
