VERY NICE WEAPONS BUT NOT STORY LINE!Jun 26, 2010 The best thing I liked about SOCOM: Combined Assault was the weapons. There is a variety to choose from like the M249 SAW gun very good for suppressing fire, and more!!! And you can pick up fallen enemy weapons like the SASR, AK-74 and others. There were also very cool rocket launchers like the AT-4 and other pretty cool stuff, the rocket travels somewhat slowly--that adds realism to the game. Also in this game you can switch views like from 1st shooter person view to a 3rd person shooter view that's what was cool. What I didn't like was you can only drive 2 vehicles in the whole game,a stealth HUMMVEE and a truck. I thought there would be more, but no. And the story line isn't that interesting its just about a paramilitary organization that are taking a made up country under control. It's pretty boring when you get more in it. The sound is pretty good but the graphics only get two and a half stars from me. I would say its an ok game.

Awesome Game !Dec 08, 2009 I have been very impressed with this game,it is a action packed exciting game, and i am very glad it is just a game.
I really would not like to meet these people in real life. But I am very glad they are the people that help protect our Country
from the true enemy. The game is a real knock out in my book.
I also got three of these games for my Play Station 2 for a real Great Price!
What more can I say!
Thank you.

Totally fun and worth it, if you like to thinkOct 11, 2009 Ok, so I'm Navy (not a SEAL), but I like the way I can move fireteams, set traps and really enjoy the heck out of killing tangos. Lots of the FPS games out there are totally mindless, but this one is has real feeling missions, without the peril of getting dead.
If you follow the tacmap, there is lots of fun to be had at each level. Along with SOCOM III it is one of the few keeper FPS games I have. A smart squad leader gets it done quick and quiet.
Sure we shoot, blow stuff up and have a good time. but at the same time we sneek and peek, shoot and loot when called for and really get a chance to use our heads. Deploy the members of the squad to cover and set traps and have some fun, after all, nobody really gets dead. YOu can really go on the offense if you are smart. Bad guys get dead and your men get extracted.
This is one of the few FPS games that really does is for me.
