2Not for flight game enthusiastJan 09, 2011
By Patrick Doyle
I love flying games, always have. Loved them so much I got my Private Pilot Certificate. For anyone that has played any of the Ace Combat games in the past, those were great games! Flying characteristics in Hawx are slow and game play isn't worth it. I played the game using the Wii remote and nunchuck making the plane fairly easy to control. The plane responses are sluggish and the aiming recital is extremely unrealistic. The graphics are great for the wii (I played the game on an xbox 360-wow) The game is great, just not on the Wii system. It leaves a lot to be desired in terms of flight control.

1Nothing leven remotely close to the Xbox and PS3 versions, AVOIDNov 15, 2010

I got this game hoping it would be a true fighter sim like the Xbox360 version. WRONG, the game doesn't resemble anything like the Xbox360 and PS3 at all. the controls are weak at best (preforming tight turns is a joke.) I think the worse part is using the Wii remote's front sensor to lock on to targets, or fire the "planes" gun. Its pretty sad that Heatseeker, a game brought to Wii in 2007 has more quality to it then this. overall the company that brought us Blazing Angels, should be ashamed to bring this to the Wii

I gave this game 1 star for being one of the few fighter sims out there for the wii. other then that, get Heatseeker or blazing angels.

4fun but cheesyFeb 02, 2011
By cameron
this is a great game but the graphics are a different story during the miniclips and its a little cheesy before and after missions but its still loads of fun! there are alot of missions so far and all of them are great. the transition between all the ways to fly with different planes is confusing at first but you will get used to them. if u want to get into the game evan more go to campain mode then press plus then go to controls click on motion controls to be on at the very begining. its really fun flying by just shifting the nunchuk up and down, back and forth but hard at first especially if your trying to get a missle lock on a target haha but if you like planes and also like games then you will definately love this game!

3Expected betterNov 22, 2010

Do I expect too much?

This is too generic for adult play, but my 5 year old likes it because it has auto pilot where he can just shoot stuff.

Blazing Angels is much better.

It is a very good game... probably the best flight game i've every played. i like the story in this and i can actually play many fancy plane modles in one game.
