 Pacman has better gameplay than WCW Mayhem...Jan 11, 2000
EA's WCW Mayhem was a very large let down once i got a hold of it. I found that the gameplay was irritating and the moves were annoyingly assigned to the wrong buttons. I compare this game to THQ's WWF 2000 and you can really notice the difference. For the wrestling game fan i advice you, although the fact that you can wrestle in other places than the ring (backstage etc...), do not buy this game. You WILL be disappointed. Hopefully EA will learn from its mistakes. And better luck to them next time...

The Main Problem with WCW MayhemJun 04, 2002
I agree with Most of the Disses with WCW Mayhem but I don't understand why no one noticed what I noticed about the game.
First of all it's that People are unique we all Act and do things our own way. Case in point WCW Mayhem All wrestlers should Have different taunts and Mannerisms but, in This game every wrestler has the same taunts. They Probobly put all their efforts into making the wrestlers look good(which they also didn't do a good job of) but, still that's no excuse. Judging by the lameness of this game, I'd say they lazily slopped this game together and caring only about the look of the wrestlers, said "Hey lets not worry about making them different, people we'll be so impressed by the awesome graphics they won't notice"Conclusion: Wcw is not worth the time and money you spend on it to Rent it Much less buy it.

THIS GAME ISN'T THE BEST WRESTLING GAME,BUT IT DOES BEAT THE PREVIOUS WWF GAMES.THE GRAPPLING SYSTEM COULD USE A LITTLE WORK,ALONG WITH THE RING ENTRANCES AND THE ADDITION OF MORE MOVES.IT REALLY IS FUN TO PLAY THOUGH,WITH PLENTY OF WRESTLERS AND TYPES OF MATCHES.UNFORTUNATLY,NO CAGE MATCH.THAT WILL BE IN MAYHEM 2.IF YOUR A BIG FAN OF WCW GAMES, AND YOU REALLY HAVE AN URGE TO TRY MAYHEM,BUY IT.THEIRS MORE UPS THAN DOWNS ABOUT IT.BUT IF YOU WANT REAL MAYHEM, WAIT FOR THE SECOND ONE.

WCW STINKS. At least that's what most WWF, ECW, and other wrestling fans believe, and from the looks of this game, they're right. The only fun thing about this game is the 4-man battle royal. Everything else, the character designs, the entrances, the bizarre physics of contact (I punch while you're a mile away; you feel it) just smell worse than... Santa after a rowdy elf party. Stay away from this game... it gets one star for the battle royal, and the other for just booting up when you turn it on. Go buy Tony Hawk's Pro Skater.

 My Kids Love this Game!Dec 07, 1999
I rented WWF Attitude, and needless to say, found it inappropriate for my 5 and 8 year old boys. WCW Mayhem was a breath of fresh air! The kids absolutely loved it, and I didn't have a problem with one element in it. I was amazed. I highly recommend this for your kids.
